1935 and 1936
The all
metal Aladdin Orientale lamps can be found in both painted and plated
versions. There are five members of this group: Green Lacquer with
Silver Plated trim, (top right) Ivory Lacquer with Rose Gold trim,
(top left) Rose Gold plate, (bottom left) Silver Plate, (not shown)
and Oxidized Bronze Plate.(bottom right)
The metal
base on the lamp is threaded and screws onto the fount. Glue then holds
it from loosening. The finishes on these lamps were not made to stand
the test of time and very few can be found with the original finish
still intact. Many of the lamps have been repainted or plated by collectors.
