This is the Lustre Orange Crown Devon vase lamp. While not manufactured or sold in the United States, it was sold in 1935 by Aladdin Industries LTD in England. The lamp is quite different from those sold in the US since it a ceramic vase instead of glass. It was manufactured for Aladdin by Fielding Crown Devon and bears their logo on the bottom of each vase. They used a model-12 burner that was manufactured in the United States, and exported to England. There were only two colors available in the Fielding Crown Devon vase lamps: the Pastel Green, shown on the previous link, and the Lustre Orange shown here.

For the history buffs, it's amazing that any of these lamps still exist since they were manufactured just four years before the outbreak of World War ll in Europe. Since the lamps are ceramic they are easily cracked, chipped, or broken, so that fact that any of them made it through the war years in amazing. Some may have been brought to America by those fleeing Europe before the war began. The Fielding Crown Devon lamps are not common to either Europe or the US today, but amazingly they do turn up from time to time. The above lamp is in amazing condition for having gone through a war!

As you can see the bottom of the ceramic vase bears the Fielding Crown Devon logo. It also has the three large toes (feet) similar in design to the Venetian Art-Craft vase lamps.
