When you look at some of these items, think how amazing it is that any of them have survived for over 80 years! Most of them are nothing more than a piece of paper, yet managed to survive for decades to enable a small look back into the history of the Aladdin Mantle Lamp Company, and Aladdin Industries Inc. The only thing that has kept these items from completely disappering, and being lost forever, are collectors such as yourself.
1928 new model 12 While this advertisement isn't dated, the model-12 lamp was introduced in May of 1928 so it had to be near that time.
1931 order form This is one of my favorite Aladdin advertisements because it shows the year, month, date, day, hour, city, state, and dealer name all in one advertisement! The other thing I really like is that I have the vase lamp shown in the add exactly as it appears including the original shade. It is an amazing look back into history.
While the advertisement itself is not dated, the lamp shown in the ad is an Aladdin Colonial lamp that was manufactured in 1933.
1935 dealer price list This is an order from a dealer in Livermore Iowa for a dozen Aladdin lamps, the shades to go on them, and various other parts.

1939 lamp advertisement While this advertisement is not dated, the featured lamp is a filigree stem Washington Drape that was manufactured in 1940, so it's pretty easy to date the ad.
1941-43 lamp I can't put a precise date on this advertisement, since the lamps in it range from 1936 up to at least 1941. The lamp in the very center at the bottom of the page is an Aladdin plain stem Washington Drape, which was not produced until 1941. Since the other lamps are older, I would say the ad was probably from 1941. The plain stem Washington Drape was made from 1941 until 1953, but since the rest of the lamps run back to 1936 I'd guess the plain stem was the newest lamp in this group. It is also the featured lamp making me think it is fairly new.
1941-45 dealer parts This chart has some water damage on it but it's still an amazing find. It makes reference to special conditions being created because of World War ll so it has to be from 1941-1945, although the exact date is not mentioned.
This is another fold out booklet issued by the Aladdin Mantle Lamp Company which shows parts for the various Aladdin lamps and the prices for each.
May 1, 1955 price list. This was also the year that the Naugatuck river flooded completely devasting the Plume and Atwood Manufacturing company which produced brass lamps, bowls, and burners for what was now Aladdin Industries, Inc. The flood ended production of the model-B burner used on most of the glass table lamps. The production of Aladdin electric lamps ceased as well in 1956.
This is a 1993 dealer sign. It is dated in the upper left corner.
While not dated this cardboard dealer sign is a product of the 1990's era. I would put it in the area of 1993, the same as the other dealer sign shown in this section. I do believe they were both aquired at the same time and were new at the time.
Aladdin lamp Aladdin Mantle Lamp Company of America, radio station listings, including WHO Des Moines Iowa operating at 5000 Watts of power! The Aladdin Mantle Lamp Company used the radio networks to advertise their products with very good success for many years.
This is an original Aladdin lamp sales tag for a clear crystal, plain stem, Washington drape lamp. The clear crystal plain stem Washington drape lamp was manufactured from 1941-1953, and the date mentioned on the tag itself concerning the retail ceiling prices is Sept. 18, 1943. It's hard to imagine a paper tag like this one surviving for 83 years! (as of 2026). Not only is the cardboard tag still intact but so is the string for attaching it to the lamp itself. Items like these are often overlooked by collectors even though they are much more rare than the lamps themselves.
This is a business envelope provided by the Mantle Lamp Company of America. It was often included in letters sent out by the company when they were requesting a reply from the dealer.
Aladdin punch card This item is a discount punch card that could earn Aladdin customers a new Aladdin table lamp.
Sales and advertising This is a promotional letter from the Aladdin Mantle Lamp Company sales department that features a $10.00 prize to the dealer who could provide the most unique and novel "oil lighting device" traded in on an Aladdin lamp by a customer in their most recent sales drive. You have to admit--it was unique!
What you see here is a fold out advertising booklet printed by the Aladdin Mantle Lamp Company. It is form number 42-I and dates back to 1943 during World War ll. At the bottom of the page is a "note" from Aladdin with reference to the war itself and the war's effect on the sale of Aladdin lamps.
Original dealer This is an original dealer counter sign and it was made from an amazing new product never seen before. The notation about this amazing new product can be found on the back of the sign itself.
