This Whip-o-Lite shade from 1943 is the No. 354-white. There was also the No. 355-tan in the same design. Both were 14 inch shades designed for use on table, hanging, and bracket lamps made by Aladdin. It could be bought, at the time, for $1.50 however the tripod for the shade was 25 cents extra.
This No. 358-variegated shade dates to 1943 and again the term "variegated" simply refers to the use of multiple colors on the shade. You will notice that some parts of the design stand out when the shade is lit while others seem to fade away. This is a common characteristic of Aladdin Whip-o-Lite shades. Their appearance in daylight can be quite different from their appearance when lit.
