This Aladdin Whip-o-Lite shade is from 1948 and is No. 382-white. The design was also available in No. 383 tan. Both the shades are flocked, and the color designations refer to the color of the flocking itself. Yes I know the flocking on the design looks tan on this shade when it's lit but in daylight it is white.
This No. 384-variegated Whip-o-Lite shade from 1948 with its poppy flower design would look great on Aladdin's porcelain Victoria lamp, or the Simplicity Decalcomania, since they also have a poppy flower design on the oil font. In fact it might be that the production of those two lamps greatly influenced the design on this shade. The Victoria porcelain lamp was produced in 1947, and the Simplicity Decalcomania was produced from 1948-1953.
