The Beehive lamp family is composed of six lamps. The hardest one to find is made of white moonstone glass and is extremely rare. It will forever remain a mystery why Aladdin did not actually market this lamp since it is rather striking in appearance and surely would have been very popular with customers. Those that are found were probably prototypes and very few made their way into public hands. While the white moonstone Beehive is the most sought after, the ruby crystal Beehive is the most popular lamp in the Beehive family to most collectors. A good reason for its popularity is that it was sold to the public in good numbers, so it is much easier to find. The color of the ruby lamps can very from quite light with an amber cast, to very dark red that almost appears black. The darker the red, the more it seems to appeal to collectors.

This is an original 601S "Cabin" shade that was designed for the model 12 table lamps. Like many of the other scenic Aladdin lamp shades, the artistic scene is painted on both sides of the glass with some parts of the design on the inside and other parts on the outside. It is very colorful and the scene is quite pronounced when the lamp is lit. While designed for the model-12 metal lamp, this shade can be found on other models as well.

Aladdin white moonstone Beehive lamp. This is the most sought after lamp in the Beehive family. In fact, it may be the most sought after of all the Aladdin kerosene (coal oil) lamps. The lamp was never put into production or sold to the public. There are no sales brochures that mention this lamp, and so far only about a dozen of the white moonstone Beehive lamps have ever been found.
