The Aladdin Amber (tan) Alpha Art Glass vase lamp has the color fused on the inside of the clear vase with a contrasting band of brown that was hand painted on the outside of the base. Alpha Art-Craft vase lamps all have six small toes (feet). This particular lamp has a pink cast to it, so it might be considered more of an amber than a tan.
This photo illustrates the reddish or amber tint of this particular Amber (tan) Alpha Art Glass vase lamp. I didn't realize quite how much of a tint it had until I set it between the pale yellow and a tan straw vase lamp in my display cabinet.
